  8. Above are a few pictures of our stay in Los Angeles for the recording of the Lesser Key LP. Aaron Harris, drummer of the band ISIS, took the helm as producer and did an amazing job keeping us crazy dudes on track. As did our wonderful engineer Justin Hopfer (Thanks dudes!). Bass and Drums were tracked @ Infrasonic Sound which was a lot of fun. Both were recorded through a “CLASP”, which stands for Closed Loop Analog Signal Processing. Long story short, it allows you to track through protools onto analog tape, enabling the speed of protools while at the same time achieving the superior sound of the tape. Sweeeeeet. As for keys, guitars, and vocals, all were done @ Kingsize Soundlabs, which was also a lot of fun… lots of trips to the taco truck across the street. After mixing, the album was handed over to Brian Gardner for mastering, who of course did an incredible job achieving some extremely menacing low end. Overall, I’m really excited with how the album turned out and I’m looking forward touring on it and playing the songs live!

    Cheers!
